The first Visconti pens dedicated to Vincent Van Gogh date back to 2001, and since then Visconti has never stopped celebrating the life and works of this legendary Dutch painter.

The design of the collection is inspired by Van Gogh’s famous impasto brushstrokes which, through the application of thick layers of oil paint, gave his masterpieces their characteristic vibrant effect, To recreate this feeling, the barrel and cap of the DreamingStarryNightpen are crafted using the ancient and sculptural technique of lost-wax silver casting. This way, by touching the pen, one can feel the ridges and swirls that characterize Van Gogh’s works. On this silver micro-cast base, an enamel layer is applied, recreating the most famous work by the Dutch painter: TheStarryNight.

Each pen is unique, meticulously hand-enameled by master artisans to pay homage to Van Gogh’s pictorial mastery and ensure the highest level of craftsmanship: the hand-enamel process guarantees that no two are exactly alike, giving to this collection the beauty of individuality. The variations in color and texture make each pen a unique work of art.
